Modern Slavery
MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT
Introduction from Leadership
Modern slavery is a serious crime and a grave violation of fundamental human rights. It encompasses practices such as slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labor, and human trafficking, all of which deprive individuals of liberty and exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
Philosophi, LLC. is firmly opposed to modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms. This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement outlines Philosophi’s commitment to preventing, identifying, and mitigating risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and throughout our supply chain. This statement reflects our ongoing efforts to comply with applicable laws and regulations and to uphold ethical business practices worldwide.
Organizational Structure
Philosophi, LLC., together with its wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively, “Philosophi”), designs and delivers advanced intelligence software and operating systems that enable organizations to integrate data, decision-making, automation, and operations at scale.
Philosophi operates globally, with personnel, partners, and customers across multiple jurisdictions. Our customers span a range of industries, including logistics, mobility, energy, infrastructure, defense-adjacent research, technology, manufacturing, and other commercial and non-profit sectors. We also collaborate with organizations that work to address systemic risks to human rights, including forced labor and trafficking.
Our Supply Chain
Philosophi’s supply chain primarily consists of professional services, technology services, and office-related goods and services. Professional service providers may include consultants, auditors, technical specialists, and external legal counsel. Office services suppliers may include logistics providers, facilities management, maintenance, cleaning, catering, and security services. Office goods suppliers may include providers of hardware, software, networking equipment, telecommunications services, furniture, and office supplies.
Policies Relating to Slavery and Human Trafficking
Philosophi is committed to maintaining policies and practices designed to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
All Philosophi personnel are required to comply with our Code of Conduct, which establishes standards for ethical behavior, legal compliance, and integrity. Philosophi also maintains a Human Rights Policy that recognizes our responsibility to respect human rights, protect privacy and civil liberties, and conduct appropriate due diligence with respect to customers, suppliers, and partners.
Based on our current assessment, we believe the risk of modern slavery or human trafficking occurring directly within Philosophi’s operations is low. Our core activities involve software development, engineering, and professional services that are not typically associated with heightened risks of forced labor. Many of our service providers operate in close coordination with Philosophi personnel, within professional environments where exploitative practices would be difficult to conceal.
Nevertheless, Philosophi recognizes that risks may exist further upstream in global supply chains. We therefore seek to avoid engaging suppliers operating in industries or regions where risks of modern slavery and human trafficking are elevated and continue to work toward increased transparency among both direct and indirect suppliers.
We regularly review and evaluate our policies and procedures to assess their effectiveness in preventing modern slavery and human trafficking. Where concerns are identified, we investigate promptly and may require corrective action within a defined timeframe. To date, Philosophi is not aware of any confirmed instances of modern slavery within our operations or supply chain; however, we remain vigilant and committed to continuous improvement.
Supplier Adherence to Our Values
Philosophi expects suppliers to operate ethically and with integrity. To support this, we maintain compliance measures that include:
- Internal training for employees involved in procurement and vendor management
- Dedicated reporting and escalation channels
- Due diligence processes for evaluating suppliers
- Contractual clauses requiring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act and other applicable laws, including reporting obligations where required
Philosophi maintains a dedicated compliance function that supports procurement and business teams on matters relating to modern slavery and human trafficking risks.
Reporting and Training
Philosophi provides multiple channels for reporting suspected violations of this statement or related concerns, including confidential and, where permitted, anonymous reporting mechanisms. These channels are available to employees, contractors, suppliers, and external parties.
Philosophi strictly prohibits retaliation against any individual who, in good faith, reports concerns or assists in an investigation related to modern slavery or human trafficking.
We provide periodic training to relevant personnel, including those involved in supplier selection and procurement, to help them identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with modern slavery and human trafficking.
Approval and Publication
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Philosophi’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the [Insert Financial Year]. It applies to Philosophi, Inc. and all applicable subsidiaries.
This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of Philosophi, LLC. (or a duly authorized committee thereof) and is approved for annual publication unless materially revised.
